IWM Duxford - Historic Duxford

VocalEyes have been working with the Imperial War Museum Duxford to provide access for blind and partially sighted people to their new permanent exhibition and historic trail, Historic Duxford, which explores its time as an RAF airfield from 1918 to 1961.

Tonight (Tuesday 26 March 2013) for the second year running young blind and partially sighted people aged 11 - 16  will have the opportunity to experience with audio description one of Shakespeare’s great works as part of the Globe Education’s flagship project Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank.

VocalEyes freelance Audio Describers Di Langford and Lonny Evans will be describing IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE END a dreamthinkspeak production presented by Somerset House Trust and King’s Cultural Institute on Mon/Tue 25/26 March.

A new and valuable online toolkit which offers a step-by-step guide to programming audio described, captioned and British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted performances has just been launched.....
